Four months out

Having bollixed up and then trashed the previous version, let’s try this again…

At the beginning of the month I went to Confinement, which is Mike Williamson’s house party/relaxacon/writers’ conference, and foolishly took no flyers or posters with me since there was an Office Max up the road, and surely they could do some flyers and a poster for me, right? Wrong. I did manage to get one mini-poster, which went on the door of my room. Fortunately, my room was right next to the consuite, so I did get questions about the con, and even sold a table to Julie Frost, the nice lady who writes about werewolves. Several people expressed interest in coming, and we’ll see how that works out.

We also have an ad in the upcoming issue of Cirsova (buy their zine and books, we want Alex to come and buy a table too!) and our ad ran on Larry Correia & Steve Diamond’s Writer Dojo podcast as well. Plus, for what it’s worth, I posted a short reel to Instagram.

I am contemplating making the trip to Salt Lake City over the July 4th weekend for Westercon, not so much because I want to sample the programming but because I want to hype our little con. I think they’ll probably attract a larger crowd in SLC than they did here in Tonopah a few years back, but I guess we’ll see. Having learned from my Confinement experience, I’ll have posters and flyers printed up before I go.

I also took some time to update the Son of Silvercon page here to reflect changes pertaining to Son of Silvercon II: Nuclear-Electric Boogaloo.

I realize some of you, like myself, are still coping with tax season, but if you can take a few minutes to write us a check or slip us some money through Paypal, that would be greatly appreciated. Membership prices are listed on the aforementioned Son of Silvercon page, or on the home page.
